Robert H. Milne, DMD (Retired Jan. 2014)

Dr. Robert H. Milne received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Oregon State University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree with High Honors from the University of Oregon Dental School in 1973. He completed his dental internship at Dewitt Army Hospital at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, spending an additional two years in the Army Dental Corps as Commander of Dental Activities at Sierra Army Depot in Herlong, California.

Dr. Milne returned to the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center, completing his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1979. He obtained his Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1982. In the early years of his private practice he taught part-time at the Health Sciences Center .

After spending three years in private practice in Salem, Oregon, Dr. Milne has practiced in the Lloyd District of Portland since 1983.

Dr. Milne is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration (implant dentistry). His memberships also include the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association and the Oregon Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Keenly interested in implant dentistry, Dr. Milne helped establish the Portland Implant Study Group in 1997. He currently holds several US patents in the field of implant dentistry.

Outside of the office, Dr. Milne enjoys golf, gardening and spending time with his wife and family.
